DEATH ON PIGEON KEY
When the director of the summer education program at Pigeon Key disappears after locking up the facility, she is presumed dead. Her death is determined as accidental until Perry Savant turns up evidence in Miami that points to an impossibility.
Then as men associated with the Mexican Colombino Family Drug Cartel are discovered dead in and around the Keys, Perry suspects that their deaths may be similar to murders committed five years earlier by someone Perry was certain was dead.
Not surprisingly, he's called in as a consultant to help solve these murders as a consultant with the Miami-Dade Police Department.
DEATH ON A ROOFTOP
People around Perry Savant are dying in one unfortunate accident after another, that is according to the police investigation. Since Savant has never believed in coincidences, he conducts his own investigation. However, when he crosses detective sergeant Al Sebring of the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, he finds himself being charged with hindering a criminal investigation. So the chief of the Key West police asks him to step in as a consultant. That way, she'll be able to keep a close eye on Savant's movements. Of course, she'll profit from his success when he proves that the deaths are murders.
Savant soon uncovers evidence that the murders may be a vendetta against him by a man he put behind bars fifteen years earlier. As a result of his own mistakes in the investigation, he nearly falls to his own death from the roof top of the La Concha Hotel. But, his closest friend dies instead. It is now his only purpose in life to bring the man responsible to justice.
