DEATH ON DUVAL STREET
A Mystery Novel

Death on Duval St. is a murder mystery involving Fantasy Fest, a drag queen, an evangelical tent revival, a retired NYPD detective, a novelist, and the uniqueness of Key West, Florida. It's sort of like “The Bone Collector” meets “In the Garden of Good and Evil.”

Picture
When Brian Silver, the most popular female impersonator in Key West, is murdered a half block off Duval Street during Fantasy Fest, the chief of police, Fatima Sax, calls upon Perry Savant to help her in the complex web of possible suspects and no hard clues.

Perry Savant, retired NYPD chief of detectives, is confined to a wheel chair suffering from the advanced stages of HIV/AIDS. So, he calls upon his writer friend, Jay Morrison, to help him investigate and search for clues in the most unusual places. What the two discover is that there is a plethora of suspects with possible motives for murdering Silver. But none of the clues point to anyone in particular.

Among the suspects are members of Silver's back up band, several people in the "Gay" community, and the highly conspicuous leader of one of the largest evangelical Christian churches in Miami. Just how Savant and Morrison solve the case and expose the murderer at the end of the novel is what will hold the reader's interest to the very end.
